Important Note: The following functions cannot be performed remotely with the Plantronics CS55H Wireless Headset for Home Phones: transfer calls, switch lines, dial out, put call on hold. You can perform all of these functions while using the Plantronics CS55H Wireless Headset for Home Phones but you must do so by pressing the appropriate buttons on your telephone when back at your desk.

IMPORTANT: The Plantronics CS55H Wireless Headset for Home Phones is NOT compatible with cordless telephones. Please see the Plantronics CS55H Home Edition for cordless telephones.

Here's how it works: The CS55H works on normal analog phone lines¹ like the ones in everyone's home. Most offices utilize digital phone systems and would work better with Plantronics office version called the CS55

Installation:

Plug the AC charger into an outlet and into the base's AC charging jack.
Plug Home Phone Adapter telephone cord (RJ11) into wall telephone jack. Use splitter provided if needed.
Plug Home Phone Adapter power cord into the base power jack.
Plug Home Phone adapter base cord into the base cord jack.

To make a call Option 1:

Take your handset off-hook.
Dial numbers using handset keypad. You should hear a dial tone in the handset.
Press the call control button on the headset. The talk indicator lights on both the base and the headset should go on, indicating a successful link.
Hang up the handset. You can now walk away with the headset on.

To make a call Option 2:

Take your handset off-hook.
Press the call control button on the headset. The talk indicator lights on both the base and the headset should go on, indicating a successful link. Dial tone should sound through headset.
Dial using handset keypad. You should hear a dial tone in the headset.
Hang up the handset. You can now walk away with the headset on.

To answer a call:

Press the call control button on the headset to answer a call.

To end a call:

Press the call control button on the headset.

¹Most home VoIP services, such as Vonage or cable telephone, include an analog adapter that works seamlessly with the CS55H
